Create a Weather Widget

It's helpful to keep up with the weather. Thankfully, Neon lets you display the local weather using its Weather widget. Find out how to use it below.

Using the Market

Creating a Weather widget using the Market allows you to establish the widget to be used in any playlist.

1. Click on Marketplace from the left navigation menu in the Neon Dashboard

   
   
   

2. Locate the Weather Widget. Hover over this widget and click "Create Widget"

   

    

3. To configure the Weather Widget, please give the Widget a Title and the Zip Code you wish to get weather reporting for. Once these are completed, click on "Create Widget".

   

4. Upon adding, you will receive a message in the bottom left corner that the Widget successfully created 

Using Publish

Adding the Weather widget directly to a zone in a Publication is a convenient option, but keep in mind that this means that only the weather will be displayed in that zone. Add the Weather widget to a playlist if you want it to display along with other content in that zone.

1. Click Publish on the left navigation bar in the Neon Dashboard

   

2. Click on the circle button with the "+" in the middle of it in the top right corner. Now select Add Publication

3. Add a Publication Title
   Enter a Start Date and End Date or check the No End Date Box
   Click in the box to select your screen layout

   

4. Now that your screen layout has been picked, please click on the same box to select your media/widget.

5. Select the Widgets tab

   

6. Click the Weather widget you created

   

7. Now the Weather widget has been added, continue finishing your publication by selecting the screens and schedule you prefer. Once done, scroll down and select "Publish"

   

   Note: The Weather widget can be added to any of the zones available.
